Braggs Homestead 1828

Peter Newport Bragg was a soldier in the Revolutionary War, where he fought against General Cornwallis. Bragg was a native of Virginia, born in Fauquier County on March 4, 1763. When he was only 16 years old, Bragg entered the American Army under the command of General Greene. Bragg fought in several battles, including Guilford Courthouse, North Carolina, and Camden, South Carolina.
