Experience the sounds of birds and nature at Cornwallis 1828 on the Bragg Homestead. Enjoy slow walks on our nature trails, with more than 100 varieties of trees, rich wildlife habitats and lakes. Bring your camera! Alabama has 420 species of birds.
Enjoy the history of this working homestead, the home of Peter Newport Bragg, a Revolutionary War soldier who fought against General Cornwallis. After the war, Bragg moved to Lowndes County, to what is now called Braggs, Alabama in his honor.
